Celebrate Easter at one of our five services right here at CAV.

CAV Kids

Preparing and launching the next generation of influencers for Christ through engaging environments, intentional relationships, and parent partnership.
At CAV Kids, your child will thrive in a Christ-centered environment

As the children’s ministry of Church at Viera, CAV Kids provides a place for children of all ages to worship and experience small group time during each of our weekend services.

We want to partner with you as you spiritually lead your children and teach them important biblical values and life virtues, values, and lessons.

What to Expect

At CAV Kids, your child will participate in large group gatherings, Bible study, and activities designed for their specific age group. Here’s what to expect during a weekend service with CAV Kids!

Before

  • Follow signs to the designated Family Ministry parking. Bring your children to Entrance E & F Check-In Stations to check them in before the service. We recommend coming a few minutes early.
  • When you check in your child, you will receive a name tag for your child and a parent security tag.
  • If you’re bringing an infant to pre-k child, please provide any supplies your child may need (such as diapers or sippy cup labeled with his/her name)

During

  • While you are enjoying adult service, your children will also be engaged and connected through fun, age-appropriate environments to help them grow more in their relationship with Jesus.

After

  • After the service, bring your parent tag to the classroom where you dropped off your child to pick them up.

CAV Buddy: Special Needs

Jesus wants every child to grow in a relationship with him. We want to provide this Christ-centered, community experience for all children, including children with special needs.

That’s where our CAV Buddy ministry comes in. We will partner your child with a trained “buddy,” whose goal is to guide your child throughout our CAV Kids community. They will focus on building relationships and experiencing the environment in a safe and caring way. To request a CAV Buddy for your child, visit the link below to send a message to our CAV Kids team.

Our CAV Buddy ministry offers two options for children with special needs:

  • A personal 1-on-1 Buddy to guide your child in their typical CAV Kids age/grade small group with other kids their age/grade level (limited availability per service time).
  • A designated sensory-friendly small group space with option to participate in some large group activities if they desire (offered at the 8:30 and 11:30 service times only).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to register my children to participate?

No pre-registration for CAV Kids is required! Just show up a few minutes before the service you’ll be attending to check in your children.

How do I check in my kids?

Bring your children to Entrance E & F Check-In Stations to check them in before the service. We recommend coming a few minutes early. When you check in your child, you will receive a name tag for your child and a parent security tag.

Who will be leading my children?

Your children will be led by one of the many passionate volunteers that serve families and attend our services. Leaders consist of CAV members and attendees who have undergone a background check so you can know your kids are in good hands.

What safety measures do you have in place?

All children receive a name tag with alpha numeric code. This code matches the parent tag. Children will not be dismissed from their environment without a matching parent tag.

All CAV Kids volunteers undergo background checks to ensure that your child can be as safe as possible.

All CAV Kids environments are closely monitored by members of our trained safety team.

Once services begin, all doors leading into the Children’s Wing are locked to protect students.

What’s your snack policy for kids?

Light snacks are provided during some CAV Kids Preschool small groups. If your child has a food allergy, please be sure to mention it during check-in as well as let your child’s teacher know. If there is a safe snack that your child can eat, we encourage you to pack it with your child’s things so they have something to eat during snack time.

How can I get involved?

Whether you’re interested in leading a small group, being a part of our Check-In Team, or behind the scenes work, we have a place for you! If you’re interested in volunteering with CAV Kids, head to our Join the Crew page and we’ll get you connected!
